The 2021 edition of the International Summer School on Digital Art History in Malaga has been presented
The Universities of Malaga and the University of Berkeley have announced the sixth edition of the International Summer School on Digital Art History (DAHSS) in collaboration with the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, the Fundación General de la Universidad de Málaga, and the HDH , from 30 August to 4 September.
Registration is open until 7 July and due to the pandemic, this edition will also take place entirely online.
The subject of this year’s investigation will be digital / virtual / online exhibitions which, although not a new phenomenon, have been at the center of the activities of museums, art centers and galleries in the last year.
DAHSS 2021 aspires to deepen the notion of digital exhibitions and their complexity by proposing to the participants to work together on a common project. The course has a theoretical-practical orientation: the theoretical exchange and critical discussions will be combined with practical laboratory sessions through which the participants will work in a team. The results will be publicly presented on the last day of the course.
