All the identity of Lulu xXX in her NFTs

Lulu xXX is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the story and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Art through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT.

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Lulu xXX

Digital artist, programmer and software developer – for Lulu xXX everything that manages to be both technological and creative is familiar.

Her art is the total expression of her identity, from the imagery of her works to the means that she herself programmed to best adapt it to her creative will.

    WHO IS LULU XXX?

Creativity and technology are a familiar duo for Lulu xXX who has been working for years as a visual effects, CGI and 3D artist for cinema.

Programming became part of his creative process out of necessity when in the early 2000s she began to approach it to facilitate his work and access advanced functions without having to use expensive programs.

His first NFT was minted on Rarible when the platform had not yet gained credibility. Her creations were immediately noticed by collectors and, thus, Lulu xXX realized she had potential in the crypto universe.

    HER ART

In 2015 Lulu xXX began experimenting with neural network-based artificial intelligence.

In her work he loves to manipulate static images by animating them thanks to motion sequences captured thanks to optical flow analysis tools.

All this is achieved thanks to her ability as a programmer which allows her to build her own creative tools.

This strongly identifying quality of the creative process is at the center of his artistic thought and is also reflected in the chosen subjects who are often human faces.

“P (ii) tch” (2021) is a series of 100 NFTs made thanks to the generative power of artificial intelligence. The input is a series of films selected by the artist.

The result is works that visually refer to the aesthetics of the 2000s, where alphanumeric figures shape the faces of pop culture characters such as Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Cobain.

The three-dimensionality of the images that come to life makes them powerfully realistic. The subjects seem almost trapped in the space of the canvas.

The pop aspect of Lulu xXX’s works makes them particularly suitable for the Web3 which feeds on icons of mainstream culture and art with a markedly digital character.

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT LULU XXX

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art , who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Lulu xXX:

“Lulu xXX’s work always begins with a technical act like a new piece of code, a new algorithm. Then things get 100% artistic. Technology is a gimmick to allow her to start something, otherwise she wouldn’t be brave enough to face the pain of the creative process ”.

    Lawrence Lee’s Shamanic NFTs

    Lawrence Lee’s Shamanic NFTs

Lawrence Lee is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the history and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT.

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Lawrence Lee

An artist with a long history in contemporary art, Lawrence Lee is among the original members of the crypto community.

His works of shamanic inspiration prove to be perfect for communicating the parallelism between the semantics of the Far West and the crypto universe: places of novelty, experimentation and mysticism.

    WHO IS LAWRENCE LEE?

Lawrence Lee has been an artist for more than 50 years. Since the late 1970s he has dedicated himself to art full time and his works occupy the spaces of museums and private collections all over the world.

The experience with digital art is well rooted in his artistic career: in fact, in 1989, Lee created the first computer-generated illustrated book for children.

Today he is one of the most respected members of the crypto community, with his NFTs present on the major exchange platforms.

    HIS ART

Lawrence Lee’s artistic production can be summarized in two strands: that of landscapes and that of portraits.

Landscapes are semi-abstract scenarios where color dominates as a determining element in the composition, deviating from the reproduction of reality.

The portraits, on the other hand, always have a totemic aspect, referring to the Native American shamanic tradition.

Lee’s entire production is strongly characterized by the western atmosphere that permeates the landscapes of Arizona where the artist was born and still lives today.

“CrossCronocron Man ” (2020) is an example of Lawrence Lee’s portrait style ported to the NFT format. The face of an old man with native features rendered thanks to masses of color that give the work a psychedelic aura.

The artist, on SuperRare, builds the story of a traveler around the image

that guides people on its path beyond time.

This universe of spirituality, universal wisdom and iconic characters gives us a powerful metaphor on the crypto universe which, like the Far West, is unexplored, inhabited by characters out of the ordinary and esoteric because they belong to the virtual sphere.

CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT LAWRENCE LEE

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art, who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Lawrence Lee:

“Lawrence Lee sees blockchain as an important development as much as oil painting as an artistic and socially stimulating medium as much as the work of a specific group of modern art artists after Picasso’s return to Paris in 1900. New tools that extend the communicative ability of the artist. “

Fantastic worlds in Lapin Mignon’s NFTs

Fantastic worlds in Lapin Mignon’s NFTs

Lapin Mignon is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the history and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT.

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Lapin Mignon

Lapin Mignon has two identities: one as a computer professional and one as a watercolorist. In Crypto Art these meet in a creative union.

His NFTs are fantastic universes that live thanks to an elegant stroke and the delicacy of watercolors.

    WHO IS LAPIN MIGNON?

With a degree in Art with an honorable mention behind him, Lapin Mignon decides to pursue an office career.

In her free time she continues to follow that passion that from an early age pushes her to collect materials on the street and to put her hand to paper and pastels to give substance to what animates her imagination.

His fantastic watercolors are the works he creates in the analogue dimension, but his creative expression also expands into the digital.

Lapin Mignon is one of the first artists to create their own NFT and to demonstrate that the traditional technique has great potential even in Crypto Art.

    HER ART

If the Metaverse is populated with artists who love to portray the darkest aspects of contemporary and future society, this is not the case with Lapin Mignon’s art.

His works have color tones, shapes and subjects that make us feel as if we are observing the fantasy world living in a person’s most positive thoughts.

A perfect example of his style is “Acquabizarre # 9 – Nouveau” (2020), NFT part of the “Acquabizarre” series which portrays an underwater universe populated by fantastic creatures.

Lapin Mignon’s works often reveal his nature as a watercolorist. Also in this the technique is inserted in the analogical part of the creative process, the one in which the artist uses ink and watercolors.

The digital work, then, adds brightness and intensity to the colors. Thus, the works light up and, in some cases, even animate.

One of the most characterizing elements of Lapin Mignon, however, is the stroke: thin, delicate and slender, it gives a feminine elegance to its images and helps to bring the softness of reality into the digital medium.

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT LAPIN MIGNON

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art, who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Lapin Mignon:

“Lapin Mignon’s inspiration comes from the golden age of his childhood, when the nature of Normandy was his playground. Her elementary school teacher used to throw away various objects on purpose for her to find, collect and use them to create her secret world ”.

Kevin Abosch and experimentation in NFT art

Kevin Abosch and experimentation in NFT art

Kevin Abosch is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the story and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT.

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Kevin Abosch

Kevin Abosch is an artist who moves with ease between real and virtual, managing to build a path of success in both dimensions.

His art is philosophy and spirituality in the direction of criticism and research on human value in contemporary time.

    WHO IS KEVIN ABOSCH?

Kevin Abosch has always been a conceptual artist. His work focuses both on the use of traditional means, and on the use of generative methods such as machine learning and blockchain technology.

A pioneer of Crypto Art, his artistic practice combines photography, sculpture, film and artificial intelligence.

His physical works have been exhibited all over the world and his NFT art is a point of reference for the entire digital community.

    HIS ART

The central themes of Kevin Abosch’s production are research into the nature of identity and the value of human life.

His debut project on the blockchain is “IAMA Coin” (2018), a project between real and virtual that holds the heart of Abosch’s thinking.

The artist has created 100 physical works, white canvases on which are printed – using the artist’s blood as ink – the identifying numbers of the contract address on Ethereum which corresponds to the creation of 10 million virtual works created for the occasion limited edition.

Virtual works are standard ERC-20 tokens and those who possess them are free to exchange them, but also to split them up to sell the parts separately.

The peculiarity of this artistic project is that it is also a philosophical experiment. The concept of human value is investigated using the artist’s identity as an object of study and quantifying its value by observing the market generated around his art.

“1111 by Kevin Abosch” (2021) is a more recent project that demonstrates the evolution of the artist’s path, raised to a more spiritual level.

A drop launched on OpenSea that Abosch himself describes as follows: “1111 unique works. Cryptographic alphanumeric writings are sublimated into a linguistic arcane and a deposit of sacred knowledge – the artist’s hexadecimal testimony. “

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT KEVIN ABOSCH

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art, who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Kevin Abosch:

“When thinking ahead, Kevin Abosch reflects on how NFTs could vanish from common use. Digital art will be connected to the generalized protocol of those days and the fact that it consists of a non-fungible token will be taken for granted, certainly demonstrable, but nothing that it will make sense to mention right away “.

Instagram sells NFT: artist Refik Anadol involved

No longer just images and videos: now Instagram becomes an NFT sales platform and does so thanks to Art with the works of Refik Anadol and a select group of artists.

The news about the transformation of Instagram into an NFT sales platform for its creators had been in the air for some time: now the news is official.

    WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

Starting this week, sharing NFTs purchased or created by American artists and collectors is being tested on Instagram.
The new function will allow you to connect your Metamask wallet, allowing you to share your NFT collection, associating the owner and creator.

Christine Pai – spokesperson for Meta who leads Instagram – revealed that artists and collectors who will create and buy NFTs on Instagram will not have to pay for the GAS FEE. This at least until 2024, after who knows.

At the moment the experimentation of creating and selling NFT is made available only for a selected group of artists, including Refik Anadol, Amber Vittoria, Dave Krugman, Olive Allen and more.

Already in August 2022 Meta had launched the new functionality for the sale of NFT on its platform in 100 countries around the world, but much still had to be developed.

In particular, the possibility of creating and then minting their works in NFT through Facebook and Instagram, then giving the possibility to creators to sell NFTs to their community.

Schermata di vendita NFT su Instagram. Courtesy META

    WHICH BLOCKCHAIN NETWORKS ARE INVOLVED?

For now, Meta has announced the creation of a tool kit that will allow artists to mint, show and sell their NFTs directly on the Instagram platform.

At the moment the blockchain network used will be Polygon, but work is already being done on the use of Solana and the Phantom wallet as well.

It will also be possible to show the collections on OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace in the world.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE ARTISTS?

Many wonder if this evolution of Instagram, increasingly towards payment by the community of followers of digital content, will be the end of the social sharing par excellence.

We are increasingly moving towards an enhancement of creative content, now also in economic terms, which will therefore not require third-party platforms, but rather aims to maintain the attention and involvement of creators and their followers.

The latter will no longer be just numbers, but real supporters of their creators and artists, who will have some more motivation to create works of art specially designed for Instagram.

What is certain is that in the imaginary world of Meta, it will be possible for users to recreate virtual environments where they can exhibit NFT works purchased on Instagram.

    Jivinci: crypto philosophy in NFT

    Jivinci: crypto philosophy in NFT

Jivinci is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the story and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT.

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Jivinci

Multimedia artist, Jivinci is now one of the protagonists of the digital world.

His NFTs are socio-political statements that harness the provocative power of controversy to stimulate reflection.

    WHO IS JIVINCI?

Jivinci’s artistic career begins as a self-taught graphic design. This first step led him to work in Amsterdam as an Art Director for more than ten years.

In the summer of 2019 the first contact with Crypto Arte when it made its first NFT.

    HIS ART

To understand Jivinci’s artistic thinking, one must bear in mind that his approach to production is socio-political in nature.

In fact, he shares his faith in the democratic potential of the blockchain universe with many other crypto artists. His works are often explicit statements in favor of decentralization, equality and freedom – all core values of the Web3.

One of Jivinci’s first NFTs is “Short The Banks” (2019). The title speaks for itself, an invitation to favor cryptocurrencies over the traditional banking system.

A portrait GIF consisting of two illustrations. A provocative image that sets the communicative tone of the artist who loves to play with controversy.

What more suitable content, therefore, if not the crypto mythology itself? “Saint Nakamoto” (2019) was created in collaboration with Alotta Money.

The subject is inspired by the mystery of the identity of the creator of Bitcoin, hidden by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The two artists create around the legend the character of a martyr condemned to take care of the network for eternity.

Jivinci art is one of the examples of how belonging to the Crypto Art community means much more than being part of a market. It means sharing ideals, but above all a vision for the future.

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT JIVINCI

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art, who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Jivinci:

“For the artist Jivinci, technology is a natural progression, a necessary tool for many artists to become part of the new space of the metaverse and to try to help people get more in touch with their art. NFTs have helped many artists to make their art visible and build an entire market around it ”.

Jesse Draxler: identity research through NFTs

Jesse Draxler: identity research through NFTs

Jesse Draxler is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the story and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT .

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Jesse Draxler

Jesse Draxler is an artist who experiments with painting, collage, photography, typography and digital drawing.

His art is research on identity through continuous experimentation with the medium.

    WHO IS JESSE DRAXLER?

Born in a rural town in Wisconsin, in the United States, Jesse Draxler grew up in his father’s mechanical workshop, where he inherited a passion for designing mechanical components.

After graduating from the College of Visual Arts in Minnesota with a thesis on the commodification of the Punk subculture in 2012, he began his career as an artist.

In 2021 Draxler is approached by Skygolpe to collaborate on “Unrealism”, an NFT exhibition on SuperRare. Thus, he knows the Crypto Arte and is inevitably fascinated by it.

    HIS ART

Jesse Draxler ‘s art borrows several references from the Punk subculture. First of all the collage technique, a recurring element in the artistic production of the movement.

His works are canvases with a dark aura where black and white dominates over color, there is no longer any distinction between human beings and machines and nothing seems to be in its place.

It is the collage, between analogue and digital, that acts as the glue for the abnormal universes that arise from the artist’s mind.

The virtual exhibition “The Anatomy of Human” on SuperRare introduced Jesse Draxler among the artists on display. Among the works, “Feed” (2021) responds to all the most distinctive traits of the artist’s poetics.

The use of black and white manages at the same time to make the image extremely dark, but also deep and dimensional thanks to a masterful use of the gray scale.

The face of a young man seems to be colonized by a machine that has taken possession of the identity of the subject. The precision of the design of the electronic components makes the image almost violent in its realism.

The theme of fragmented and transformed identity returns even more explicitly in “Flayed II”(2022), an analogue collage transformed into NFT which sees the face of a young man recomposed through the combination of clippings that portray him from different perspectives.

Jesse Draxler’s art is a research on personal identity carried out through the exploration of the artistic medium. The shadows of his mind become works of disturbing beauty.

CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT JESSE DRAXLER

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art , who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Jesse Draxler:

“When creating art, Jesse Draxler delves deeply into his emotional states to better understand himself, the world and others. There is an intentionality behind his vision that is exclusive to his personality and the element of a universal consciousness that he does nothing but translate. “

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Art through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Ilan Katin

Ilan Katin is an illustrator, 2D animator and tech savvy.

His art reflects his versatility, no work is alike and the creative process is constantly evolving.

    WHO IS ILAN KATIN?

Born in the United States, specifically in a suburb of New York, Ilan Katin still moves with his family as a small child to Israel in a Kibbutz, an independent, closed and cooperative community.

When he returns to the United States he receives a scholarship to the School of Visual Arts, where he first obtains a degree in Fine Arts and, then, one in Computer Art.

After developing her skills with hand drawing, Katin begins experimenting with computer drawing. Today he works as an illustrator and with 2D animation.

Since 2018 he is part of the world of Crypto Art and his works are present on SuperRare and KnownOrigin. Furthermore, he is one of the artists who contributed to DADA.ART.

    HIS ART

NFT works are abstract paintings where shape and color dominate the space of the canvas. The artist is inspired by the free and improvised gesture that unpredictably determines the development of the work.

Non-figurative production is only part of his work: in fact, animation is a fundamental component of his expressive method.

“Walk (A) long the Hodl Road” (2020) is an animated NFT in which an anthropomorphic creature called by the artist “Theater Eye” walks through the world of Cryptovoxels – virtual universes of Ethereum – equipped with a chair that carries around the neck and surrounded by a holographic halo of “anger”.

Ilan Katin builds a story around this animation that tells of virtual creatures that as the first beings explore the crypto reality, which still represents a wasteland devoid of any familiar reference.

Katin’s production, however, is not limited to animation and abstract compositions. Among his works also appear NFT with a strongly realistic character that only for composition and details deviate from reality.

The variety of styles that Katin touches through her expressive research demonstrates how she is an artist who masters artistic expression and is not afraid to experiment.

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT ILAN KATIN

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art , who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Ilan Katin:

“In my interview with Ilan Katin we also talked about community, a founding concept of the crypto art space. To him it means a group of diverse people who are comfortable with being uncomfortable so that the real work can be done in helping each other evolve as individuals and as a unitary group. “

Helena Sarin’s NFTs: Art Elevates Life

Helena Sarin is one of the 50 artists featured in “CRYPTO ART – Begins”, the first NFT book that tells the story and evolution of Crypto Art

“CRYPTO ART – Begins” tells the exciting beginnings and evolution of the Crypto Arte through the history and work of 50 of the best artists in the world who contributed to its birth and are still an active part of the present and future of its revolution with their projects NFT .

CRYPTO ART – Begins presents Helena Sarin

Born in Moscow, Helena Sarin is a visual artist who works with the generative potential of artificial intelligence.

The result of a perpetual union between analogue and digital, real and virtual, her works are timeless images that bring the humanity of the historical-artistic tradition into the Crypto universe.

    WHO IS HELENA SARIN?

Helena Sarin is used to working with extremely advanced technologies. As a software engineer she worked at Bell Labs to develop computer vision programs through the use of deep learning.

Her passion for art has always gone hand in hand with his career in technology, but Sarin has continued to work only in analog for a long time.

Everything changed with the discovery of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) which allowed her to experiment with the infinite result variables deriving from the use of different datasets and new algorithmic models.

Helena Sarin is unanimously recognized in the Crypto Art sector as one of the artists who has contributed most to the development of generative art with artificial intelligence.

    HER ART

Despite her love for technology, Helena Sarin knows that the digital medium is not enough to make a work of value. The artist’s thoughts and will remain the key element.

For this reason, her AI model is trained on the basis of the artist’s own works, so that no one can replicate her taste and gesture.

The result are works in which the element of collage is often found and which are reminiscent of the first Cubist production.

The black stroke returns as a graphic element, together with the use of lettering and two-dimensional textures.

Helena Sarin’s NFTs amaze with their warmth and visual delicacy that is extremely human, far from digital aesthetics.

“House that Nakashima Built: The Tea Ceremony” (2020), like her other works, has a style reminiscent of Japanese painting, as the title suggests.

Here too we find a strong trace of humanity and in fact, the work is also made with manual interventions. The images generated by the AI are cut by hand and glued on paper to build a collage that brings the work back to the analogical plane.

The continuous play between the artist’s hand and the algorithm balances the aesthetics of Helena Sarin’s works, giving them material and earthly dimension that makes them timeless, even though they belong to the digital age.

THE CURATOR ELEONORA BRIZI SAYS ABOUT HELENA SARIN

Eleonora Brizi, curator and founder of Breezy Art , who curated for The NFT Magazine the selection of the 50 artists featured in the book “Crypto Art Begins” writes about Helena Sarin:

“According to Helena Sarin, art elevates life. His work focuses on what surrounds us in everyday life, such as animals and still lifes. As an artist, his goal is to make people smile and that’s how he plays his role: to make people feel human warmth since life is hard and unpredictable ”.
