{"id":13030,"date":"2020-05-22T12:30:26","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T12:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/migrate1.artrights.me\/?p=13030"},"modified":"2021-04-21T15:53:50","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T15:53:50","slug":"museums-post-coronavirus-statistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artrights.me\/en\/museums-post-coronavirus-statistics\/","title":{"rendered":"Museums: Post Coronavirus Statistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #dd9933;\"><strong>MUSEUMS: POST CORONAVIRUS STATISTICS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">The numbers of the impact of CO-VID 19<\/h2>\n<h2>ISTAT has published the trend and scenarios on state museums, providing estimates of the losses during the lockdown in the months of March, April and May 2020.<\/h2>\n<h2><!--more--><\/h2>\n<section class=\"content-section full-width with-col cover pb-70 pb-xs-50 rella-no-margin content-section-5a71cb13dc9ff\">\n<div class=\"row vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column col-md-12\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>The National Institute of Statistics has published research on the progress and scenarios of the <strong>State Museums developed with <a href=\"https:\/\/artrights.me\/en\/coronavirus-is-digitizing-the-art-world-by-andrea-concas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coronavirus.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2019, state structures were visited by almost<strong> 55 million people<\/strong>, with a collection of almost <strong>243 million euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that the health emergency and the related lockdown that closed museums throughout Italy caused, between March and May 2020, <strong>a lack of turnout of almost 19 million visitors and a failure to collect approximately 78 million euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the same quarter of last year, the state museum structures had registered over 17 million visitors, generating gross revenues of 69 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>Certainly <strong>alarming data<\/strong>, which further highlighted the need to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/artrights.me\/en\/art-digitisation-legal-guidelines-to-restart\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">digitize museums<\/a> <\/strong>in the processes of fruition of collections, materials and catalogs, with a boost to <strong>online communication and the strengthening of websites.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the 2018 census, one in ten state-owned museums (11.5%) have a digital scientific catalog of their collections;
