How to create a Portfolio that does not go unnoticed by the Jury of an Art Prize<\/em><\/h2>\n

Whether you are an emerging artist, young or established, in order to participate in an Art Prize it is absolutely necessary to have all the right papers, starting from your Portfolio<\/b>. <\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Portfolio is the tool that allows the artist to present his works of art <\/b>to approach gallerists, curators, but also collectors and other professionals, but it is also the best business card for those who want to present themselves in the most effective way to an Art Prize. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Here are some tips to create with care and accuracy the ideal Portfolio to win an Art Prize.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

DON’T LIMIT YOURSELF TO IMAGES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A portfolio should collect not only high-definition images of your works<\/b>, but should also present your essential information: Statement, Biography, Curriculum Vitae and Contacts.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

AN ORDERED AND THEMATIC COLLECTION<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

If you have a large production it is good practice to present the images divided by theme <\/b>(portraits, landscapes, particular or abstract subjects), or even for the technique used <\/b>(painting, sculpture, screen printing), obviously accompanied by all the information <\/b>(year of production, technique and anything else). <\/span><\/p>\n

STICKING TO THE TRACKS OF THE PRIZE RULES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The award regulations always give precise instructions regarding the size and format of the portfolio but also the objectives and mission of the award. The portfolio, in most cases, must be in pdf format and must not exceed a certain size. Failure to comply with these instructions means demonstrating a lack of professionalism.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A COMPLETE AND UPDATED DOCUMENT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Portfolio must tell all your artistic path, so it changes over time and is always enriched with new details<\/b>. It becomes therefore essential to keep it always updated, so that you can decline it according to your interlocutor or according to the occasion. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
