{"id":24219,"date":"2021-05-28T11:36:08","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T11:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.artrights.me\/alla-scoperta-della-collezione-maramotti\/"},"modified":"2021-05-28T12:04:30","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T12:04:30","slug":"alla-scoperta-della-collezione-maramotti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artrights.me\/en\/alla-scoperta-della-collezione-maramotti\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovering the Maramotti Collection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-discovering-the-maramotti-collection\"><strong>Discovering the Maramotti Collection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>A collection that includes hundreds of works of art to be discovered<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the seventies&nbsp;<strong>Achille Maramotti,&nbsp;<\/strong>founder of the famous fashion brand&nbsp;<strong>Max Mara,&nbsp;<\/strong>decides to give life to his personal collection of&nbsp;<strong>contemporary art&nbsp;<\/strong>in the building in&nbsp;<strong>Reggio Emilia&nbsp;<\/strong>which was once the company&#8217;s factory and which is now its permanent headquarters. of the collection as well as a place of aesthetic and intellectual use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.collezionemaramotti.org\/it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Maramotti Collection<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is one of the\u00a0<strong>most prestigious\u00a0<\/strong>Italian collections\u00a0, which offers a very rich overview of\u00a0<strong>Italian and international\u00a0<\/strong>works\u00a0created from\u00a0<strong>1945 to today\u00a0<\/strong>, mostly\u00a0<strong>paintings, sculptures and installations\u00a0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several artists are present in the collection: to name a few&nbsp;<strong>Alighiero Boetti, Francis Bacon&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Jean-Michel Basquiat&nbsp;<\/strong>, each of them represented by significant works from the point of view of contemporary research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Active since the end of&nbsp;<strong>2007&nbsp;<\/strong>, the collection has recently been&nbsp;<strong>rearranged&nbsp;<\/strong>by the director&nbsp;<strong>Sara Piccinini&nbsp;<\/strong>, who has rethought the&nbsp;<strong>exhibition&nbsp;<\/strong>to underline the history of this great artistic enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire&nbsp;<strong>collection&nbsp;<\/strong>is spread over two floors and follows the&nbsp;<strong>chronological&nbsp;<\/strong>order&nbsp;.&nbsp;<strong>The first floor&nbsp;<\/strong>houses works by&nbsp;<strong>Italian and European&nbsp;<\/strong>artists&nbsp;from the 1940s to the 1980s, while&nbsp;<strong>the second&nbsp;<\/strong>exhibits&nbsp;<strong>American and European&nbsp;<\/strong>works&nbsp;from the early 1980s and late 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are therefore many important works&nbsp;by artists such as&nbsp;<strong>Jannis Kounellis&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Alberto Burri&nbsp;<\/strong>for&nbsp;<strong>Arte Povera&nbsp;<\/strong>, by&nbsp;<strong>Domenico Paladino&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Sandro Chia&nbsp;<\/strong>for the&nbsp;<strong>Transavantgarde&nbsp;<\/strong>and by&nbsp;<strong>Gerhard Richter&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;
