Sotheby&#39;s Metaverse (@Sothebysverse) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sothebysverse\/status\/1448680330194530312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 14, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sothsotheby-s-launches-metaverse-a-platform-dedicated-to-digital-art-on-the-blockchain\"><strong>SothSotheby&#8217;s launches Metaverse, a platform dedicated to digital art on the Blockchain<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sotheby&#8217;s launches <strong>Sotheby&#8217;s Metaverse<\/strong>, a new platform for digital collectors, offering a curated selection of NFTs chosen by auction house specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new marketplace aims to create a virtual collection for the most sought after NFTs, creating a curated selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <meta charset=\"utf-8\"><a href=\"https:\/\/metaverse.sothebys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sotheby&#8217;s Metaverse<\/a>, buyers will have to create a personal profile and receive a unique avatar created by the digital artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artrights.me\/en\/sothebys-and-nft-the-sale-of-paks-works-with-nifty-gateway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pak<\/a>, and will be able to make payments in crypto or FIAT currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of the platform takes place today 18 October in conjunction with the auction &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artrights.me\/torna-lasta-di-sothebys-natively-digital-1-2-the-collectors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Natively Digital 1.2: The Collectors<\/a>&#8221; which features 53 works from 19 of the most well-known crypto collectors on the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These include VerticalCrypto Art, Pablo Rodriguez-Fraile, Pranksy, 888, j1mmy.eth, Seedphrase and WhaleShark, DJ and producer Steve Aoki, heiress Paris Hilton and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The link between the world of traditional art and NFT is getting stronger and runs at the speed of a transaction on the Blockchain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Great expectations, however, for the announcement made via a tweet on the profile of the rival Christie&#8217;s who relaunches with &#8220;Arcadia&#8221;
