Louis Vuitton<\/span><\/a> is a brand that continues to feed on influences from the art world.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The great fashion house has always been very close to the world of art, so much so that over the years the <\/span>Collection Louis Vuitton<\/b><\/a> was born in order to host all the works of art exhibited all over the world inside boutiques or created on the occasion of fashion shows.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Besides there is also the <\/span>Fondation Louis Vuitton<\/span><\/a>, inaugurated on October 24, 2014, commissioned by Bernard Arnault<\/strong>, President of the LVMH Group,<\/strong> and designed by the architect Frank Gehry<\/strong> in Paris in the Jardin d’Acclimatation<\/strong> area, inside the Bois de Boulogne.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over time, the Foundation has become a “new space that opens a dialogue with a large audience and offers artists and intellectuals a platform for debate and reflection”<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

From <\/span>Takashi Murakami<\/span><\/a> to <\/span>Richard Prince<\/span><\/a>, than <\/span>Yayoi Kusama<\/span><\/a> to <\/span>Jeff Koons<\/span><\/a>, arriving at the latest creative collaboration, here are the artistic projects between Louis Vuitton and world-renowned artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Takashi Murakami<\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

From 2002 <\/span>Takashi Murakami<\/span><\/a> collaborates with Louis Vuitton to reinvent some of the brand’s iconic bags, decorating the Maison’s classic monogram texture with Japanese manga, typical of its unmistakable style. Over the years, Murakami has created a series of limited edition collections with a unique and avant-garde style: including the Cherry Blossom collection embellished with cherry blossoms and the Monogram Cerise decorated with smiling cherries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yayoi Kusama <\/b><\/h2>\n

The collaboration with one of the most loved artists in the world dates back to 2012, with a surprising collection that incorporates the most iconic motifs of Yayoi Kusama. The bags, as well as wallets, clutch bags and purses, are filled with polka dots, pumpkins and biomorphic nerves. But it does not end here: the collection also includes bracelets, shoes, clothing, beach towels, sarongs, and scarves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Richard Prince <\/b><\/h2>\n

In 2008 Louis Vuitton created the Monogram Jokes collection, designed by the neo-pop artist Richard Prince.<\/a><\/strong> The famous Jokes<\/em> used by Richard Prince in his paintings are shown on each Monogram Joke<\/em>s bag with the silk-screen technique.<\/p>\n

Jeff Koons <\/b><\/h2>\n

In 2017 Bernard Arnault, collector and owner of the luxury group LVMH, hired Jeff Koons<\/a> to create a collection of bags that surprised the whole world. Koons, inspired by the masterpieces of art history, brought the works of Van Gogh, Titian, Leonardo on Vuitton bags, creating a desecrating collection.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Collection Arty Capucines <\/b><\/h2>\n

As on previous collaborations, Louis Vuitton invited six contemporary artists last June \u2013 <\/span>Sam Falls<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Urs Fischer<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Nicholas Hlobo<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Alex Israel<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Tschabalala Self<\/span><\/a> e <\/span>Jonas Wood<\/span><\/a> \u2013 <\/span>to revisit the design of its iconic Capucines bag<\/a>. Launched for the first time in 2013, the bag has quickly established itself as a classic, perfect to be revisited by top international artists.<\/p>\n
